Sean Gill Recognized with City Artists Corps/NYFA Grant

Author Sean Gill is one of 500 New York City-based artists to receive a grant through the City Artist Corps program, presented by The New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) and the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs (DCLA), with support from the Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment (MOME) as well as Queens Theatre.

 

Gill was recognized for his fiction, which will be presented at a reading, alongside a slate of other writers, at a "macabre" literary event in Williamsburg, Brooklyn on October 2, 2021. Further details are forthcoming.

Sean Gill Named a Finalist for The Academy for Teachers and A Public Space's 2021 "Stories Out of School" Contest

The Academy for Teachers and A Public Space have announced the ten finalists for their 2021 "Stories Out of School" Contest, judged by novelist Jonathan Lethem––among them is Sean Gill's short story "The Tainting of the Nook." The winner will be announced in March 2021.

Witness Magazine, the literary magazine of the Black Mountain Institute at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, has announced the finalists of their 2021 Literary Awards. Sean Gill was named one of the finalists in Fiction.
